Our curly specialist has undergone strict and extensive training in order to be certified. What is a Specialized CUrly Cut?
The method used is a haircut technique that focuses on either sculpting each curl by cutting it at an angle so the curl pattern is not disrupted, or cutting curl by curl. This includes cutting curly hair dry in order to see and enhance the natural curl pattern. This unique haircut is customized for each client’s curl pattern.

The Curly Cut
The Curly Cut is a haircut technique that focuses on either sculpting each curl by cutting it at an angle so the curl pattern is not disrupted, or cutting curl by curl. The Short/Kid Curly Cut
The Short Curly Cut is the same cutting method as described above, but suitable for lengths that sit at your chin or above. This is also suitable for guests 12 years or younger. The total service is 90 minutes.

The Curly TRIM (Complimentary for existing guests)
The Curly Cut and the Short Curly Cut are guaranteed to last 3-4 months, with proper at home care. At Twelve27 Salon we can’t imagine only seeing you 3 times a year, so we want to invite you in for a COMPLIMENTARY Curly Trim. This is a “shape up” of your cut. The total service is 15 minutes and is to be booked 6 – 8 weeks after a Curly Cut.

The Curly cut with Treatment
The Curly Cut with Treatment is the same as our Curly Cut or Short Curly cut with an add on Treatment specific to your hair or scalp needs. The total service is 105 – 120 minutes

The Curly Wash and Style
The Curly wash and style is (in our opinion) the best part of the Curly Cut, so we made it a separate service! We will wash, condition and style your curls with our Ouidad and Aveda products to get those curly bouncing and shining again! The total service is 60 minutes.

The Curly Blowout and Flat Iron
The Curly blowout and flat iron is for those curly girls who want to change things up for the weekend or special event! This service includes a full wash, condition and smooth sleek blowout and style. The total service is 90 minutes.

How to Prepare for a Specialized Curly Cut?
Detox and Cleanse:
Please arrive with your curls freshly washed within 1-2 days of your cut.
Curl and Set:
Please arrive with your clean curls dry, set, and in their curliest state! Whatever products you have at home and have come to love, please use them however you normally style. Sierra likes to work with what you have, and understands each guest knows what works best, but is also ready with styling product suggestions if you're looking for something new!
What to Avoid:
Please do not arrive with your hair dirty, and unwashed for more than 2 days, blown out straight, braided, worn up in a ponytail or bun. No hats, or clips, or wraps should be worn to your service. We need to be able to see your clean curls in all of their styled glory before Sierra can execute the first part of her 2-step cut technique!
Please note that failure to follow these guidelines for a Curly Cut may cause a service charge or your appointment to be rescheduled. There are no exceptions. Please trust the process! Sierra has been offering this service for years and these steps set you up for success. The above preparation will ensure you love your new cut and curls!
